The Simulation Crew develops serious games and training simulations, for organisations (https://thesimulationcrew.com) and for education (https://www.virtualskillslab.nl). We believe that attractive and interactive games and simulations can help people to gain skills and confidence.
Project
Working with our team of seasoned professionals the students will be working on our core simulation training game. This game is already released and in schools and workplaces as of this September 2018. Now the release 1.0 is out we are creating a plan to polish and push the standards of this kind of game to higher visual quality levels. The Art and Programming interns will both be directed and encouraged by the supervisors to work to a high professional standard, problem solve and bring new creative solutions.
Assignment
We seek an AI Programming intern, The successful intern should also have experience working in UNITY3D and C#. Important you have knowledge of AI and general gameplay mechanics. Character movement is of highest priority to the team and the believable AI and movement choices of the avatars is your first priority. This is an exciting area to explore for the company and the you need to bring your creativity, clever thinking and know how to work optimally for different platform releases among which VR. There is room to explore other areas of programming and this will be discussed during the interview stage.
The Programming supervisor is Henk Jan Baard, with more than 20 years of experience and working with Unity for almost 10 years.
The student should have a professional attitude, good time keeping, ability to follow and work through tasks within his/her own ‘get up and go’’, and not be afraid to ask questions if stuck. Communicative and brave in expressing his/her concerns and accomplishments.
